It’s been seven years since I last opened this blog. A lot has happened.
Here’s the cliff-notes:
- I graduated college with two bachelor’s degrees in Classics and English.
- I joined the Peace Corps.
- I got my master’s degree.
- I got into a relationship, engaged, and married.
- I moved 5 times and to 4 different cities.
- I worked in healthcare during the Covid-19 pandemic.
- I burnt out.
- I got diagnosed with ADHD.
To be honest, I feel like so much more happened, but this isn’t supposed to be a day to day recounting of my life. This is just a summary so people understand what’s happened between my last posts and my future posts.
My current goal is to post once a week about things happening in my life. These posts will typically focus on something I’m doing creatively, something I’ve learned or have been reflecting on, or, if it’s been really hectic, just processing what’s been happening in my life.
For this year, consistency is my goal. My ADHD has made it hard for me to stay consistent on my goals, but now that I have a diagnosis and am no longer fighting burnout, I want to really get consistent on my habits.
In 2025 the habits I want to keep up are:
- Exercise.
- Blogging, at least once a week.
- Doing something creative, at least once a week.
- Writing, at least once a week (this can be my something creative).
- Keeping a normal sleep schedule (why is this so hard??).
As we venture into 2025, I want to make sure I am valuing every day and everything that I am doing. I know this is a short post, but I think this is a good start. I hope everyone’s year is off to a wonderful start.
